National Class Ring Day
Herff Jones, a Varsity Achievement Company with a portfolio of products designed to celebrate academic and athletic achievement, is excited to celebrate the inaugural “National Class Ring Day” on October 9th. This new holiday is aimed at celebrating both the tradition and excitement of class rings.
People across the country are encouraged to proudly wear their class ring(s) on this day and take a moment to reflect on their high school or collegiate experiences. It is also a time for current students to embrace their school spirit and wear their class rings on this day.
On National Class Ring Day (October 9th, 2014), Herff Jones sponsored a promotion for a chance for proud students and adults to win a $250 Visa Giftcard by posting an image of their class ring or an image that represents what their class ring means to them on Instagram or Twitter along with the hashtag #ClassRingDay. Two winners will be selected at the end of the day.
“Recently, Varsity Brands commissioned research that tied a high level of school spirit to better academic performance, increased civic engagement and increased happiness among high school students,” said Mandy Wilsey, Vice President of Marketing for the Graduation Division at Herff Jones. “Class rings are one of many ways that students and alumni celebrate their school spirit and we are excited to be a part of this tradition and to know that it truly does have a positive impact on school communities.”
This day provides a chance for students to celebrate their school spirit, class pride and a way for alumni and adults to connect and reflect on their own high school experiences.
